SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA
Santa Cruz of the Mountain range tropical paradise of
Bolivia, is a department of exuberant vegetation
with enormous extensions of forest and prairies,
located in the Eastern part of the Bolivian territory.
With a surface of 320,000 km square, of which
only a third includes a mountainous region and
the rest extends on the Amazonian plain. It counts
with a total population of 1, 364.389 inhabitants
(census 1992). The capital of the department is
City of Santa Cruz de la Sierra is located to
a height of 437 m.a.s.l. Located between 17°
47 ' 20 " of South latitude and 63° 10
' 30 " of west longitude of the meridian
of Greenwich. This department counts with 15 provinces
and 150 corners.
The City of Santa Cruz is divided
by concentric ring, within the first ring is the
call “old helmet”, where it will be
the main seat “24 of September” and
the cathedral of San Lorenzo, constructed between
1845 and 1915, same one which lodges to the Museum
of the Cathedral that has an exhibition of religious
objects of the Jesuitical Missions such as sculptures,
